Hello, my name is Glenn Garwood Jr. and I am the owner of Russ’ Auto Service. We are a family owned and operated automotive service facility, which has been providing the Cherry Hill and Haddonfield area with quality automotive repairs and service since 1928. From oil changes to engines, diagnostic work to wiper blades, Russ’ Auto Service is your one stop service shop. Now in our fourth generation, we take pride in providing our customers with a blend of old world quality and new world technology. HISTORY:

Russ’ Auto Service is very unique, in that not only are we one of the oldest automotive shops in the area, but since our inception in 1928 we have been family owned and operated. Russ’ Auto Service has been around almost as long as the automobile itself. We have seen everything from one of the very first Model A’ s to today’ s complex engines. Here is a little history on how we got from there to here.

Russ’ Auto Service began in the barn of my great-grandfather Russ Stackhouse, just a stones’ throw away from our present location on Haddonfield-Berlin Rd. in Cherry Hill (presently where Kress’ Liquor stands). By the 1930’ s Russ had so many clients that he moved right up Haddon Avenue to Westmont (presently where the Mobil Station stands). Russ’ daughter (my grandmother) Doris, worked part time in the garage doing oil changes and minor repairs. It was here that Doris met her father’ s right hand man, my grandfather Bill Garwood; they fell in love and were married in 1945. From then until the late fifties Russ and Bill worked together building their business as well as their reputation for doing quality work. In 1960 Bill moved Russ’ Auto Service back down the road to its present location, a building capable of handling six cars at a time. Bill ran the day to day operations, and soon his son’ s, my uncle Kevin and my dad Glenn, were involved in the business.

In 1987 my father took over ownership of Russ’ Auto Service, I spent my summers working in the shop and when I graduated high school I began working full time. These years were a very special time in my life, because I had the opportunity of working with my dad and my grandfather every day. I learned so much from them, both about fixing cars, and taking care of our extended family, our customers. In 2003 I took over the reigns from my dad and although cars have changed drastically in the last 80 years, our commitment to our customers has not. Fixing cars has been passed down our family from generation to generation, but so has the way we treat our customers and their vehicles. At Russ’ Auto Service we realize that take pride in combining “ old world quality, with new world technology.”

The Crew

	Glenn – President Glenn has grown up in the business, and has been the President of Russ Auto Inc. since 2003. He and his wife Danielle have three children; Kaylee, Jason, and Erynn.
	Rick – Technician Rick has been with us for nine years, and has over 25 years experience in the automotive industry. Rick and his wife Sharon have three children, and one grandchild.
	TJ – Technician TJ has been working part-time with us since 2002, and in December of 2007 he began working full time. TJ was recently married in August of 2008, and he and his wife Tracy have twin boys, Thomas and Michael.
	Glenn Sr. – Former Owner Glenn Sr. retired in 2003, but we cannot seem to get rid of him. You can usually find him drinking coffee and playing solitaire on the computer. But we all love having him around, and my mom appreciates having him out of the house.
